My favourite food

 My favorite food is pizza. It consists of a flat dough covered with a base of cheese and tomato sauce. Various ingredients can be placed on this base, such as tomato slices, olives, ham, pepperoni, or exotic ingredients, such as pineapple chunks. Personally, I like pizza with pulled pork, meatballs, red onions and barbecue sauce. You must make a flour dough, flatten it and give it a round shape. On this dough is placed the base of tomato sauce and cheese and the ingredients of your choice. This preparation is heated in an oven until the dough is baked and the cheese is melted. I like pizza because it is a crispy food that has many ingredients. Excessive consumption of pizza and other junk foods has a negative impact on health due to its high percentage of calories, salt and carbohydrates that can cause health problems such as diabetes, hypertension and arteriosclerosis. Junk food should be eaten only occasionally (and never daily).

My favorite piece of technology

My favorite technological object is my smartphone, because it is a useful device in my daily life. Also I don't have other technological things, like video game consoles. I use my smartphone to communicate, study and entertain myself.  I can communicate with my relatives and friends through voice calls or social networks, save and access my study files and watch series and movies from streaming platforms such as Netflix and Amazon. I also access almost all my accounts (Gmail, U-cursos, etc) from my smartphone. Although the use of smartphone allows me to access and save important information for my studies, it also distracts me from studying and other daily activities, mainly due to the excessive use of social networks, YouTube or streaming platforms. I recommend using it but with the warning not to become addicted to social networks or streaming series. ·

Why do I study chemistry and pharmacy?

When I was a child, I envisioned various jobs when “I grew up”: train driver, archaeologist, biologist. But finally I decided to study Chemistry and Pharmacy. I could have studied college careers related to Chemistry but I was not very convinced . Fortunately, I was able to study Chemistry and Pharmacy. I chose this college career because I have always liked chemistry and biology and I am interested in the study of human health. This career combines all those things and I was immediately interested. My first time in a university was not pleasant and I had some problems. Then, I transferred to this university and my experience has been better. I would like to work in the industrial area, and in the long term to have my own pharmacy.

Autobiography

  Hello! My name is Patricio. I was born in 1989 in Valdivia, southern Chile, a city known for craft beers, big and beautiful rivers (Calle Calle, Valdivia, Cau Cau), turrets built by the Spanish conquerors, and Cau Cau Bridge, the worst bridge in Chile (or in the world). This city was the epicenter of the most powerful earthquake of all time (May 21, 1960) When I was a child, I lived in Lago Ranco. During my adolescence, I lived in Paillaco and later I lived in Valdivia, where I studied and worked. Now I live in Santiago. I studied at Liceo Rodulfo Amando Philippi (Paillaco) and later I studied Chemistry and Pharmacy at Universidad Austral  (Uach), but due to poor academic results, I retired. After that, I worked as a postman, in fast food places, parking meters, and even washing cars.
